DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The project was to provide five social housing units for rent within the tight constraints of the site including the formation of a unit within the previous.

The new buildings are constructed in a traditional nature with the use of strip foundations, beam and ground floors and timber first floors, stone and rendered faced masonry cavity walls with hardwood windows and external doors, timber pitched roofs clad in natural slate.

Ancillary works include forming a parking area, external services, drainage and site works.

CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:

The Pre-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the initial budgeting, the preparation of the Employer's Requirements and the reporting and advising on the selection of the tenders received.

The Post-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the continual cost monitoring and reporting on the project, the agree and certifying of monthly valuations, dealing with Contractual matters, chair monthly meetings and overseeing the works and the agreeing of the final account.
