DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The project is to provide ten social housing units both for rent and shared ownership. The project is to construct the substructure and superstructure of the two storey houses and flats to provide a well laid out close. The buildings are a mixture of two and three bedroom units. The new buildings are constructed in a traditional nature with the use of strip foundations, beam and block and timber floors, brick and rendered faced masonry cavity walls with upvc windows and external doors, timber pitched roofs clad in interlocking tiles. Ancillary works include external services, drainage, play area and site works.

CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:

The Pre-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the initial comparing and advising on the Contractors proposals against the Association requirements together with comparing them with the Scheme Development Standards.

The Post-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the continual inspecting of the properties to ensure the correct construction together with ensuring they comply to the agreed standards.
