DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The project was for the
design and construction of 5no. houses and 5no. bungalow for
rent. The units are of traditional construction with trench
fill foundations, beam and block floors, reconstructed stone
faced masonry cavity walls with timber windows and external
doors, timber pitched roofs clad in interlocking tiles. Ancillary
works include new access road, external services, drainage,
play area and site works.
CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:
The Pre-Contract Services
carried out on this project involved initial and detailed
budgeting, the preparation of the Employer=s Requirements,
checking and negotiating the Contractor's tender and preparation
of Contract Documents
The Post-Contract Services
carried out on this project involved the continual cost monitoring
and reporting, agreeing and certifying monthly valuations,
dealing with Contractual matters, chairing monthly site meetings,
overseeing the works and the agreeing the final account.
