DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The project was for the
design and construction of 10no. houses for shared ownership
on a turn-key arrangement. The units are of traditional construction
with trench fill foundations, beam and block ground floors,
rendered block faced masonry cavity walls with timber windows
and external doors, timber pitched roofs clad in interlocking
tiles. Ancillary works include new access road, external services,
drainage and site works.
CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:
The Pre-Contract Services
carried out on this project involved budgeting, adaptation
of the Employer' Standard Employer=s Requirements, checking
design against HA scheme development standards, negotiating
the Contractor's tender and preparation of Contract Documents
The Post-Contract Services
carried out on this project involved quality monitoring and
reporting, agreeing and certifying monthly valuations, dealing
with Contractual matters, snagging and agreeing the final
account.
