DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:

The project was split into two sections. The works to Section 1 comprised the construction of a single storey 'L' shaped workshop building. The building has a total internal floor area of 923m² and accommodates trade workshops with ancillary storage rooms and teaching and staff facilities. The construction is reinforced concrete ground beams, steel portal frame, ridgidal aluminium roof covering, cavity masonry walling with aluminum windows and external doors. The building has heating, electrical installation. Ancillary works include external services, drainage and site works.

The works to Section 2 comprised the construction of a two storey 'L' shaped workshop building. The building has a total internal floor area of 1320m² and accommodates vocational teaching facilities with ancillary storage rooms and staff facilities. The construction is reinforced concrete ground beams, masonry walls with aluminum windows and external doors, Trussed rafter roof with ridgidal aluminum coverings. The building has underfloor heating, air conditioning, electrical installation and a complete education fit out. Ancillary works include external services, drainage and site works.

CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:

The Pre-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the initial budgeting, the preparation of the Bills of quantities and the reporting and advising on the selection of the tenders received.

The Post-Contract Services carried out on this project involved the continual cost monitoring and reporting on the project, the agreeing and certifying of monthly valuations, dealing with Contractual matters and the preparation and agreeing of the final account.
