DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT:
The project was to provide six
high quality holiday apartments and one permanent residential.
The buildings are constructed
in a traditional nature with the use of trench fill foundations,
solid ground floors, timber first floors, rendered faced masonry
cavity walls with hardwood triple glazed windows and external
doors, timber pitched roofs clad in natural slate, feature
glazed stairs and vaulted ceilings.
Ancillary works include forming
a parking area, boat house access works from the garden decking,
external services, drainage and site works.
CONSULTANT SERVICES PROVIDED:
The Pre-Contract Services carried
out on this project involved the initial budgeting, the preparation
of the Employer's Requirements and the reporting and advising
on the selection of the tenders received.
The Post-Contract Services carried
out on this project involved the issuing of instructions,
continual cost monitoring and reporting on the project, the
agree and certifying of monthly valuations, dealing with Contractual
matters, chair monthly meetings and overseeing the works and
the agreeing of the final account.
